2 thumbs up for the EMF! The EVP on the other hand isn't compatible with Window 7 so I cannot take advantage of the full program it comes with. I even tried to download a program for Windows 7 in which it would basically act like an older version of Windows that was compatible with this EVP but that was also unsuccessful. I will be able to use this for recording my lectures for school but unable to use it to it's full potential with paranormal investigations because of this issue. I will have to purchase another one compatible with Windows 7.

The New 2011 RT-EVP Interactive digital voice recorder with simultaneous Playback was developed exclusively for the paranormal market. This sleek new recorder boosts many of the essential features that paranormal enthusiasts require, which are unobtainable with the conventional off the shelf products currently available.The new Model has some new hardware and firmware features, older pre-existing RT's can not be upgraded.

Very good quality, but difficult to understand how to use. Three of us have read the directions and still don't understand completely. Used it for a ghost hunt at Waverly Hills and recorded several interesting voices. The readout very small and I must use a magnifyer to see clearly.
I would purchase again, but am still hoping to find a techie to help me understand how to use all the features.

Very sensitive recorder, but not easy to use. You need a good sound wave program to play back recordings and be able to listen to anything picked up in detail. We believed we captured a voice but not sure if it was something from outside or not...again very sensitive. We were able to pick up the tv from downstairs and a conversation from two other living people in our first recording attempt. Overall I think it's overpriced and for the cost, it should have came with a sound wave program.

I have owned this product for a couple of weeks now. I haven't had the chance to test it in the field yet, but I have had the chance to test it and play around with it. This item does cost more than any comparable digital recorder, but it also has many valuable features that are not on any other digital recorder that I could find. I can also say, that the recording quality is outstanding. I have a mid-high end sony digital recorder as well, and there is no question that the RT-EVP recorder has noticeably, much higher quality recording files. There was really no comparison between the two. The 3 built in mics are also very sensitive (there is a center, left and right mic). As far as the additional features on here, the real time playback is fantastic, though you do need to be using earphones to use the feature, to prevent a feedback loop I'm sure. The unit does also come with a set of ear buds, so it isn't a problem. The FM scanning mode (spirit box) also requires use of the headphone... Read more

    Published in 1997, this is a great collection of ghost stories of our nation's oldest city. One gets the flavor of this city, the Spanish quarter, the lighthouse, Flagler College, among the unique buildings and places reported to be haunted. Anyone who has ever walked the historic district at night can attest to the strong feeling of history and it certainly can make one wonder if they are really alone. A great little book, and a nice start to the library of anyone who travels... usually regional collections of ghost stories are available in many localities, and they make a unique remembrance of a trip. After reading this, perhaps you will be willing to brave a night in room 3A at the St. Francis Inn!

    As a long-time resident of St. Augustine (recently relocated) I grew up hearing many of these stories from my friends and neighbors. Reading them in such well written prose was like talking at length to an old friend. Few of the 'serious' historical accounts of my hometown convey the feel of St. Augustine as well as this book. Nearly every shopkeeper in St. Augustine describes this as their 'best seller.' I highly recommend this book.

    I really enjoyed this book. I recently went to St. Augustine and enjoyed one of the ghost tours there so I knew I had to have this book. The story of 'The Gallant Governor' is my only complaint. This story wasn't spooky or scary at all. It was just plain silly and if anything could make one think all the other stories are a bunch of rubbish. The two main characters in the story are ridiculous. It's very very bad. But the other stories are excellent. 'Toques Place' and 'Ghost Tour' are great. They give you chills and will make you wonder what that noise was in the other room. I loved this book and look forward to reading the second volume.
