Product Description

A built in flashlight at no extra charge. Electromagnetic fields, or EMFs, are emitted by electrical devices of all types. EMFs are everywhere, originating from appliances, cell phones, electrical wiring, and even the human body. The K-II EMF Meter helps measure these fields to identify appliances that produce high-level emissions, allowing users to make informed decisions about limiting exposure. EMF fluctuations have also been associated with locations where unexplained phenomena have been reported, including alleged hauntings. The K-II operates on a single 9V battery, and reports EMF measurements in five milliGauss ranges. Please note: this product is intended to measure electric fields, and does not detect nuclear radiation.Instantaneous response to EMF fluctuations & spikesSimple push-on/push-off operationEasy-to-read multi-segment LED displayAccuracy of 5% at 50-60 HzDetects ELF range (50 to 1,000 Hz) & VLF range (1,000 to 20,000 Hz)

5.0 out of 5 stars This K2 is a Must Have Tool for the Job!, December 22, 2009

This review is from: K-II EMF Meter for Ghost Hunting (Tools & Home Improvement)
While trying to choose a proper EMF meter for my intended purpose, I came across the K2 in use on the latest "Paranormal/Ghost Hunting" (and increasingly more scientific) T.V. shows. It was clear to me that the advantage of having bright LED lights indicate an EMF spike while constantly monitoring in a dark environment would make the job much easier. My K2 arrived very quickly and I immediately unboxed the unit and tested the sensitivity around walls and home appliances (as suggested in the included literature) to get a "feel" for real world use. I was absolutely stunned at how quick and responsive my K2 is and feel that it is indeed the best choice I could have made. Let's just say that I plan to stand at least 3 feet away from my microwave oven when it is in use AND have already moved my clock radio away from my head when I sleep! The good news is that the unit will indicate an EMF spike almost instantly as I proved by powering up the microwave oven and and watching the K2 while... Read more

Portland Ghosts (Portland, OR United States) - See all my reviews

This review is from: K-II EMF Meter for Ghost Hunting (Tools & Home Improvement)
I run a paranormal investigation group in Portland, OR and received the K-II meter yesterday. Although we have not tried it in the field yet, I ran tests in my house to see if I could get any false readings. I tested multiple devices that were not on and received no readings at all. It wasn't until I tested an external hard drive, USB hub and an MP3 player that was charging that I received any readings. The external hard drive read in the 1.5 - 2.5 mG range (yellow). The MP3 player showed a 1.5 mG reading (green) and the USB hub also received a 1.5 hit. I was unable to achieve any false readings with the electronic equipment in my house nor any readings at all in locations with no visible electronic equipment.

As far as I can tell so far, it works exactly as advertised and feel confident that any readings I receive in the field will be accurate. The item is extremely light weight and runs off a 9 volt battery which was included. It powered on and worked right out of the... Read more

5.0 out of 5 stars The K-2 Meter Should Be Standard Equipment, March 22, 2010
By
This review is from: K-II EMF Meter for Ghost Hunting (Tools & Home Improvement)
Unlike other paranormal equipment, the K-2 is a meter with common everyday uses. Electricians use them to test electromagnetic fields. It's used in the normal AND paranormal world.
My team has used the K-2 Meter with very much success. The beautiful colored lights tell how strong an EMF field is in any certain spot. In theory, emf raditaion is related to the presence of spirits. I have used it to actually trace out a human form on two occasions! You can use it for EMF sweeps as well as contact sessions. This is where you turn the K-2 on and lay the device down. You then ask questions and wait a few seconds for a response to each. In theory, whenever a spirit comes closer to the device, more lights will light up. You can use this for "yes" and "no" answers. We have found if you snap a picture where the K-2 spikes, you will get some form of energy in the pic. In my opinion, all paranormal groups should have at least one K-2 as standard equipment. Not only are they very helpful but... Read more
